This Privacy Policy explains how RoadLink, developed and operated by ROADLINK TECHNOLOGIES, collects, uses, processes, protects, and shares information when users access the RoadLink mobile application and related services.
RoadLink is a community mobility and services platform that may provide transportation, delivery, booking, service-provider, cooperative, commerce, utility, and other related community services.
1. Information We May Collect
1.1 Account and Profile Information
RoadLink may collect account and profile information necessary to create, identify, secure, and manage a user account.
This may include:
- Name
- Mobile number
- Email address, when provided
- Profile photograph
- Account or user identifier
- Address or service location, when required
- User role within the RoadLink platform
1.2 Location Information
RoadLink may collect approximate and/or precise location when necessary to provide location-based services.
Location may be used for:
- Pickup and destination selection
- Route and distance calculation
- Finding nearby riders, drivers, providers, vehicles, stores, or services
- Real-time rider or service tracking
- Providing services available within a user's location
- Safety, service verification, and fraud prevention where applicable
RoadLink does not require or use the Android ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION permission. Continuous rider tracking is performed through a visible Android Foreground Service while the applicable tracking function is active.
1.3 Booking, Order, and Service Information
When a user requests or participates in a RoadLink service, RoadLink may process information related to that transaction, including:
- Pickup and drop-off information
- Requested services
- Booking or order details
- Trip, delivery, or service status
- Transaction history
- Service-related records
- Cancellation, refund, or dispute information where applicable
1.4 Cooperative Information
For users who access cooperative-related services through RoadLink, the application may process information necessary for cooperative administration and membership-related services.
This may include:
- Membership status
- Cooperative identification or membership number
- Membership-related records
- Information necessary to administer cooperative services
- Records required for verification or regulatory compliance, where applicable
1.5 Identity Verification Information
Certain RoadLink services may require identity, professional, vehicle, or provider verification.
Information submitted for these purposes may include:
- Government-issued identification
- Photographs or verification images
- Driver's license, when required
- Vehicle documents, when required
- Professional, provider, or business documents, where applicable
This information may be used for account security, provider onboarding, eligibility verification, regulatory compliance, and protection of RoadLink users.
1.6 Photos and Uploaded Files
RoadLink may process photographs, images, or files that users voluntarily select or upload when using applicable features.
Examples include:
- Profile photographs
- Identity verification images
- Proof of pickup or delivery
- Service documentation
- Provider, vehicle, product, or business images where applicable
RoadLink does not intentionally access photographs or files that the user has not selected, submitted, or authorized for use by the application.
1.7 Device and Technical Information
RoadLink or its infrastructure and technology providers may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and diagnose the application.
This may include:
- Device type
- Operating system
- Application version
- IP address
- Crash information
- Diagnostic and technical logs
- Authentication or security-related information
2. How We Use Information
RoadLink may use collected information only when reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, and improve its services.
This includes:
- Creating and securing user accounts
- Authenticating users
- Providing transportation and mobility services
- Providing delivery, logistics, and related services
- Providing cooperative-related services
- Processing bookings, orders, and transactions
- Providing routing and location-based functionality
- Providing real-time tracking during applicable services

3. How Information May Be Shared
Personal information may be disclosed only when reasonably necessary to provide a requested service, operate the RoadLink platform, protect users, or comply with applicable law.
Information may be shared with:
- Riders, Drivers, Providers, Operators, or Fulfillment Partners – when information is necessary to complete a ride, booking, delivery, order, or requested service.
- Authorized Cooperative Administrators – when necessary for membership-related verification, administration, or cooperative services.
- Infrastructure and Technology Providers – including cloud hosting, database, authentication, notification, security, and other service providers necessary to operate RoadLink.
- Payment Processors – when required to process payments, refunds, settlements, or transaction-related services.
- Government Agencies, Regulators, Courts, or Law Enforcement – when disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law, lawful order, or valid legal process.
4. Permissions Used by RoadLink
RoadLink may request device permissions only when necessary for the feature being used.
- Location – for pickup and destination selection, nearby services, routing, distance calculation, and real-time tracking through a Foreground Service where applicable.
- Camera – for identity verification, QR scanning, service documentation, proof of pickup or delivery, and other user-initiated camera features.
- Photos or Files – for images or documents voluntarily selected by the user.
- Notifications – for booking updates, ride or delivery status, account notifications, security alerts, and other service-related information.
- Internet Access – to connect the RoadLink application to its online services and infrastructure.
Users may manage applicable permissions through their device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent features that require that permission from functioning correctly.
5. Data Security
RoadLink uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, misuse, or loss.
These measures may include:
- Secure network communications
- User authentication
- Access controls
- Role-based authorization
- Database access restrictions
- Security logging and monitoring
- Restricted administrative access
No electronic or internet-based system can guarantee absolute security. RoadLink will continue to review and improve appropriate safeguards as the platform develops.
6. Data Retention
RoadLink retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested services, maintain legitimate transaction and operational records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect the platform, and comply with applicable legal, accounting, contractual, or regulatory requirements.
When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, RoadLink may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of the information, subject to applicable retention requirements.
7. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their RoadLink account and associated personal information.
Account deletion may be requested through either of the following:
- In-App: Open RoadLink and go to the available Account Settings / Delete Account option.
- Web: Visit the RoadLink Account Deletion page at https://roadlink-website.web.app/delete-account .
After a valid deletion request, RoadLink will delete or anonymize personal information that is no longer necessary.
Certain information may be retained when required for legal, regulatory, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, or legitimate transaction-record purposes.
8. User Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable laws, including applicable Philippine privacy and data protection requirements, users may have rights concerning their personal information.
These may include the right to:
- Be informed about the processing of personal information
- Request access to personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Object to certain processing where applicable
- Request deletion, erasure, or blocking where legally applicable
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Request data portability where applicable

RoadLink does not knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances that violate applicable law.
If RoadLink becomes aware that personal information of a child was collected without the authorization required by applicable law, reasonable steps will be taken to address or remove the information.

RoadLink processes personal information in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including applicable Philippine privacy and data protection requirements.
Personal information will be processed for legitimate and disclosed purposes and only to the extent reasonably necessary for those purposes.

RoadLink may update this Privacy Policy when application features, technology, services, legal requirements, or data-processing practices change.
When this policy is updated, the Last Updated date displayed at the top of this page will be revised.
Material changes may also be communicated through the RoadLink application or other appropriate communication channels.
